Rouge was led by style, not trends. It was about individuality and comfort, not the mass market.

It was home to French, Danish, Irish and British labels which couldn't be found anywhere else in South Wales. All pieces were hand-picked by its Paris-born owner, Frédérique, who made Cardiff her home, and her daughter Sophie.

Our mission was: to know what will make you look and feel good.

 We wanted to be the boutique where you find that special something, whether for work, the weekend, a night out or a special occasion.

The woman who came to Rouge was in search of her own style. You wanted an affordable and personal look, feminine and with close attention to detail. You wanted clothes that were beautiful and wearable, smart and practical. You wanted to find clothes that expressed your personality. 

We aimed to offer a welcoming shopping experience. We wanted you to feel at home and trust us.

We hope we achieved that.
